Our Projects and Initiatives
Each project within SJ Wilkes Group carries the same mission: empower, include, and transform.
Project 1: SJ Wilkes Foundation, Inc.
The nonprofit heart of the SJ Wilkes Group. This foundation focuses on advocacy, education, and resources for people with disabilities and their caregivers. Programs include awareness training, community events, and annual award programs that recognize compassionate caregivers.
Project 2: SJ Wilkes Accessible Homebuilders
SJ Wilkes Accessible Homebuilders DBA SJ Wilkes Homes is a housing development initiative focused on designing and building fully accessible homes, event barns, and independent living spaces that promote mobility and dignity.
Project 3: From America to Africa Worldwide, Inc.
From America to Africa Worldwide, Inc. DBA FATA (FATA) Worldwide is an international program collecting mobility aids and supplies for people with disabilities in Kenya and beyond. FATA is also developing accessible communities abroad through collaboration, faith, and inclusion.
Project 4: National Coalition of 100 Women on Wheels (100WOW)
A national advocacy and empowerment network of women who are 100% dependent on wheelchairs for mobility — yet breaking barriers as entrepreneurs and professionals making nearly six figures or more.
Together, 100WOW members are building businesses and developing essential services that meet the everyday needs of people with disabilities.
Their collective mission: to ensure that our essential needs are met, our expenses are covered, and our voices are heard.
Project 5: Let’s Make a Deal Youth Mentoring Program
A youth mentoring and entrepreneurship program that combines business training with social impact. Participants assist with organizing community garage sales, manage pricing, marketing, and customer service, and learn essential financial literacy skills. In addition to the garage sales, our participants get other hands-on experiences in other fundraising events, community outreach programs, and one-on-one caregiving services to their team members with disabilities.
Funds raised pay stipends for helpers, transportation, supplies, and more.
